HIDDEN was an exhibition project housed in a display cabinet in the museum quarter of Brussels.
The project focused on unveiling hidden art to the public. Hundreds if not thousands of quality artworks are concealed from public view; new works, works in storage, works that never made it into the series, works there is no wall space for...this project offered a rare platform to (re)inject them into the visual landscape in the most radical of spaces; a street level display cabinet.
Reanimating the area surrounding the Rue de Namur (1000, Brussels) through the use of a vacant store window, the unused space was used to display artworks, design prototypes, host performances, installations and other cultural events. Exhibitions were programmed on a monthly average and were punctuated with small public events.
The project ran for one year from the summer of 2015 to 2016 in association with Atrium and the ASBL rue de Namur.
